Anticipated Albums of 2017
4. Nas. We know his album is done from Dj Khaleds album but we don’t have a name, a date, no artwork no nothing. But nas is one of them artist that drops heat. His last album “life is good” was great. I listened to that for like three months straight when it came out and brought two copies one for my dad and step dad. Whenever I hear a song off that album I think ask myself when is nas dropping something? So im patiently waiting.
3. Faith evans and biggie smalls duet album entitled the king and I. Its been a while since we’ve heard new music from Biggie. I think it’ll be fresh and nostalgic. I love duet albums because they unite two different worlds and what better worlds than faith and biggie. One of my favorite ghetto love stories. She's released three singles and they sound great. NYC is an anthem for New York feat one of my favorite underrated rappers Jadakiss. The second single feat Snoop dog. I see this single as a bridge between the east and west coast beef that originated in the 90’s. The last one is entitled ten wife commandments. if you're a biggie fan you should be excited. She remixed biggie's ten crack commandments. I think that was so creative. I've heard it and its mad good. I’m mostly excited for the song that features lil Kim. This album is due May 19th, 2017.
2. TLC final album. we havent heard music from TLC in a minute. This album was promised to us a while ago. I hope they've been actually working on it and have never before vocals from left eye on it. even though they don't have a large catalog of music like other artist they are still one of the best groups to ever do it. according to their manager the album is set to release June 30th, this year. They recently released a single called "way back" feta Snoop Dogg and its mad good. After listening to it I felt like they never left.
1. Of course the Mary jawn is my number one anticipated album. Mary’s 13th studio album “Strength of a women” due april 28th. I'm always excited for a new mary album that’s my favorite artist but this album I feel is going to be big. Shes been working on this album for a minute too. I’ve seen instagram posts of her in the studio since like the beginning of summer 2016. It was pushed back like twice. So I know she was perfecting this. After the first single “Thick of it’ permanently sat for 16 weeks at number 1 on the charts she released her second single “u+me”. Both singles display mary’s classic ability to turn heartbreak into great music that her fans can related too. A tracklist was released shortly after and another single called "love yourself" feat kanye. Another great song. Can't wait to hear this.
