Greatest day of my life so far
So the greatest day of my life started on Friday May 19th 2017 at 4:05 am. I woke up exhausted and contemplating if I should get up and go to the city. After scrolling on the gram for a minute I got up, showered, and dipped.
I had to walk to parkchester because the buses are dead at that time. I got on the 6 train then the F and walked to the TODAY summer series concert to see my all time favorite, Mary J Blige. I got there at 6. while in line I decided to bump one of my favorite albums ever. What's the 411?
After everybody went through security the host (idk her name) came out and spoke for a little. Also the band and background singers were doing soundcheck. Then my mom popped up did her sound check and dipped. After standing for like 30 hours (I'm dragging it but idc) the show started at 8:30.
She performed three songs. I really wished she would've did more but she came around after and was taking pictures and signing stuff. when she came around to me I wasn't sure if I wanted a picture or a autograph cause she was in a rush. so I said "Can you sing my case" and she did. I literally couldn't think of anything else to say or do in that moment. I've never experienced a feeling like that before. I wasn't in control of my own body. Its crazy to think that a person can have that kind of power over you. But I do know that when I see her again i'm bringing a laundry list of things I want to say to her.
I'm going to cherish this case for the rest of my life. I'm already looking up laminating companies so they can preserve that signature. That is literally my most prized possession now. i'm bout to rock it on a chain.
I'm excited cause everybody got pictures of mary but I have my own personal collection from me for me. I already loved her but I love her even more after this encounter. She was so humble and nice too. OH & beautiful. She looks mad good. I love that she says thank you a lot. A lot of artist swear that they're entitled. She treats her fans as friends and I love that.
I want y'all to listen to the commentary in this video. The people around me was dumb funny. Just talking shit while she was performing LMAO. My favorite part was when she said started singing Love don't live here anymore lyrics. I'm glad I went though it was a life changing experience and i'm definitely trying to go to the tour.
