My Roots picnic experience was lit. I'm so glad I went and will definitely be going again next year. I'm already waiting for the 2018 lineup. I'm going to start there. The WHOLE day was LIT. I can't believe I saw so many people for only $40. I saw (in no specific order) Aboogie, Pete rock, Playboi Carti, Jeezy, etc you'll see it in the video below. I saw 21 savage too but my phone was charging so I couldn't get that on camera. His performance was lit too. I didn't really know what he was chatting about but the energy was there. Side note I want to thank the festival for having that phone charging station courtesy of the HBO tv show Insecure. that was much needed because there was no re entry so I couldn't go to the car, and no outlets. therefore no footage. I wanted to get a picture of the charging station but my phone died again. That station really came in clutch tho. BUT let me tell y'all how Marco dead passed out from the heat and slept it off in the car for like 6 hours. This guy missed the whole day. LMAO. I call him fallout boy now.

My favorite Part of the night was when Pharell Brought R&B royalty SWV out. They performed my favorite song from them "Use your heart" It came at a point of his set where he slowed it down and started talking about them without using their name. Over the Use your heart beat. I knew they was coming out at that point. I told Kes to record this. I neeeeeed this cause my phone was dead yet again. I'm so glad I got to experience one of the best female groups ever live. They looked good and sounded even better. That inspired me to listen to my 90's playlist on the way home.

My second favorite part of the night was when Solange sung the proud family theme song. I felt like a kid again at that point. But tell me how I posted it on instagram and somebody reposted it on twitter and got mad likes and retweets. I was tight at first but I look at everything as a learning experience. & I learned that I need to put my stamp on my videos. But y'all can peep it on my instagram @Antoniosjoint_. After we went to downtown Philly and got some food. The vibe was nice. Everybody was friendly and lit and the blocks were packed full of people. I don't think i've ever seen son many black people in one spot without fighting involved.

There were a few acts that I didn't know such as Kimbra and Michael Kiwanuka but they had a vibe I could fuck with. I especially like Kimbra's energy and stage presence. I definitely plan on listening to their music in the near future.

The last song Pharell performed was "Happy" which is befitting cause I was over whelmed with joy from that whole day. Overall I had a great time and I hope y'all enjoy the video. I don't endorse that drive back tho.

So due to youtube acting crazy the video isn't uploading. I've been trying since sunday but imma keep trying and y'all will be the first to know when I finally get it up.
