I wanted to acknowledge one of my favorite albums and explain why. F.A.M.E. also known as forgiving all my enemies also also known as fans are my everything came out in 2011 and is still fire.
I decided to listen to this album today because I watched his documentary last night. Which was also fire. I grew up with Chris and his music so I thought I knew what he was going through. Wrong. I liked the documentary so much because it felt like a convo. He was just recalling all the negative and some of the positive events in his life. Side note I really loved that Mary was in the whole thing but overall it was a good documentary. I recommend it. Although it did leave me wanting more as if he died.
But back to the album. I remember when this album was about to come out and the singles was dropping. All of them was fire. Me and my friend Woodburn would cut ass on each other’s favorite artist. & I found myself having material but I couldn’t discredit the music at the same time. Oh funny story about how I got this album. My uncle gave it to me. He copped it cause we was driving down south and he was like you want it cause I don’t like it and I’ve been bumping it ever since. The actual album is in my house somewhere. But I don’t think I’ve purchased a chris brown cd ever. They all was given to me.
Some of my favorite songs from this album is Up to you because it’s so r&b I ran it back as I was typing this today. It’s also so relatable. We’ve all been through shit within relationships and we try not to let that take control in the next one. She ain’t you is another favorite. Simply because of the Michael Jackson Human Nature sample. Should’ve kissed you, All back, Beautiful people, No bullshit. This list can go on and on. Literally the whole album is fire. I think theres only one song that I don't like. i'll give you a hint. it isn't the one with Justin Bieber. I surprisingly fuck with that song. At first I didn't but it grew on me and the video helped also. This album is so versatile and I loved that it showed people that he can still make good music. It silenced the haters a lot. This might be top 25 albums for me.
