I love how this song starts with the two drum stick taps. I feel like whenever a drummer does that you about to get hit with some fire shit. The first verse is her being happy and literally just describing her day and it’s so interesting to me. Because its so simple yet beautiful at the same time. I think I like the lyrics the most in this song.
She then incorporates why she’s so happy in the next verses. There is somebody who makes her this happy. & Shes questioning it “is it the way you love me?” It’s crazy but being with someone dope can literally do those things to you. They can have you waking up with a smile on your face. They can have you jumping out of bed. They can make you skip an outing with your friends. They can even bring out that inner freak. Being with someone who does those things for you is dope and this song explains that so eloquently over a jazz influenced smooth beat. I feel like this song should've came with a short film. Why? Because I always invision what she’s describing as I listen to the song.
I just discovered there is a visual for it. Although I do like it, it isn't what I expected. I was expecting an actual visual of everything she sang in her verses. I feel like that would've been dope. Then end it with some shots of her and her special someone doing the things that make her feel good. Overall this is a great song. I love it. It will never not be something I listen to.
